The Human Price Lyrics written by Eric Boles ====================== There is always a price to pay In the world that we live in Fate descends on the innocent Ignorant to the keepers of sin Now chaos erupts in the streets Explosions take their lives Blood and bodies lying everywhere Just people trying to survive Will you believe? Or, just living in bliss Will you believe? And spirits fight and journey on Reach for the light when the last candles burn Itís wrong from right Our spirits fight and we journey on Reach for the light when the last candles burn Itís wrong from right And we journey onÖ Terror strikes over faith and politics Earthsí children a sacrifice Many more will die in the days to come We try to exist within the human price The toll is the price That we all have to pay Itís a future sign Itís a future sign And we all must stay And the toll is the price In the end we all pay Flowers bloom and the birth of a child They ascend to the life ahead Unaware of the evil all around They ascend to the life ahead Climbing to the surface In the distance thereís a light New eyes awakened in a new world In this desolation we must put up a fight We have the right to exist We have the right to make a change The futuresí youth wonít let us down They will right the wrong and end the pain **Newscaster voice-over** More explosions erupt in the streets today after protesters gather in front of the embassy A 15 year old teen faces charges of first degree murder after open firing a handgun at school. Yet another oil spill has happened in the south pacific and is once again threatening the lives of a massive population of sea life

Wired Ruins 06:16
Wired Ruins Lyrics written by Eric Boles ====================== In the future, there's a revolution Power lost! All across the world Net grid failure all the vehicles died We were left wandering earth Sides are chosen tís all out anarchy For the sake of humankind A master plan gone wrong That has forced us back in time Spoken Word: Grass and dirt replace the freeways and we return to horse-back Speech replaces text, Letters replace email and we de-evolve or do we? Sides are chosen tís a conspiracy We must choose what ís right Machines and guns are all in the past Like we're living again back in time Electronic self extensions Will we all survive without the cell leash] Technology overload all systems Reality breach Pictures & music forever lost in the cloud Instant communication long gone Social skills fade fast The struggle with face to face.. Reaction Disconnected from the life that you once knew Amongst the wired ruins you try to survive Disconnected from all the people you care about The wired ruins out in the wild

The Final Figure Lyrics by Norman Skinner =========================== My heart feels weak heavy with grief And itís your soothing voice I seek Your presence gone this feels so wrong Iím trying hard just to be strong Holding tight all you left behind Each piece eases my mind Precious moments stolen by time Your final figure I guard inside No longer the same, since youíve gone away Struggling to move past this pain I canít pretend or comprehend When will this sorrow end? Holding tight all you left behind Each piece eases my mind Precious moments stolen by time Your final figure I guard inside Comfort me I wrap myself in your memory I breathe deep and reminisce during a restless sleep Comfort me I wrap myself in your memory I breathe deep and reminisce during a restless sleep Are you watching me calming me? Reassured your the face Iíll see Once again but not until then When my path reaches the end

Walls of Justice Lyrics by Eric Boles ====================== Once this Earth, depressed with sorrow Changes have come watching all the evil deeds Hold still and be patient In the last act what does this all mean Now this world, a land so corrupt by all Welcome to hell burning fires of evil dreams Stay down and donít run now, Witness and sicken at the shifting of scenes Theyíll start a new life closing off society Building the walls of justice comes forth a twisted salvation A frightening dystopia of distorted liberty Within these walls of justice trapped in belief Return to sanity and the calmness of the mind Release the chains that bind and walk on the path of time Beware the betrayal and impending storm Restless in the quiet seemingly unreal Dwelling on death and this dire maelstrom Emotive reaction in the new life surreal Beware the betrayal and impending storm Restless in the quiet seemingly unreal Dwelling on death and this dire maelstrom Emotive reaction in the new life surreal Theyíll start a new life closing off society Building walls of justice A frightening dystopia of distorted liberty Within these walls of justice trapped in belief Inside the walls of justice therein lies a dystopia

about

The Human Price is a long awaited sophomore effort by the progressive metal band from San Francisco Bay Area featuring a new line-up. Utopian Trap raises the bar with this CD. Leaving behind the tortured protagonist from Fiction Fades into Reality (2010), the band delves into the cost of inhumane acts on innocent lives and asks questions about our obsession with social media and our so called connected lives. This album, like its predecessor, is marked with mood changes from heavy, headbanging riffing with dynamic rhythms and powerful vocals to anthemic sections entwined with acoustic and psychedelic arrangements. Riddled with hooks, thematic elements and unwavering lyrics, the band shows new facets of their repertoire.
